Aaren grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio and currently resides in Charlotte. She has a baking and pastry degree from Johnson Wales. Besides being in the kitchen, one of her favorite hobbies playing with her new baby boy Oliver and walking with her dog, Dory. Favorite ingredient to use: Gelatin. Anna is from Front Royal, VA and moved to Charlotte to attend Johnson and Wales University. Anna has her culinary degree from Johnson and Wales and is currently working as a Teaching Assistant there. She also has experience with catering. She enjoys running and shopping when she is not in the kitchen. Favorite ingredient to use: Garlic. Favorite savory recipe: Barbecue Meatballs and Chicken Salad. Favorite dessert: Smoothies or Vanilla Ice Cream. Best "food" childhood memory: Having people over and grilling out on the deck. Favorite TV chef: Barefoot Contessa. Best advice for new cooks: Be patient. You don't become great overnight! It takes time.

Arianna grew up in Pittsfield, MA. She is attending UNCC currently. Besides Flour Power and school, Arianna is also a dance instructor at The Dance Spot in Huntersville. She LOVES sprinkles! She enjoys dancing, exercise, and baking with her mom and 2 sisters. Favorite ingredient to use: Sprinkles. Favorite savory recipe: Pasta. Favorite dessert: Cupcakes (with sprinkles). Best "food" childhood memory: Mom's Cupcakes, and helping her frost them. Favorite TV chef: Rachel Ray. Best advice for new cooks: Take your time! No need to rush! Have fun!

Barbara grew up on a farm in rural SC with her parents and 5 siblings! She has one son and one daughter and an 8 year old granddaughter. She worked in menu development at Bojangles Corporate office during the 1980s and created the recipe for the Bojangles Cinnamon Twists using leftover biscuit dough that was usually discarded!! When she's not in the kitchen, she loves to dance, swim, and take long walks on the beach. Favorite ingredient to use: Cream cheese. Favorite savory recipe: Southern Barbecue Ribs. Favorite dessert: Tiramisu. Favorite "food" childhood memory: Grandmother's Tea Cakes and her wonderful Homemade Chicken and Dumplings. Favorite TV chef: Ina Garten (The Barefoot Contessa). Best advice to new cooks: Read the entire recipe first and measure properly.

Ginger grew up in Whiteville, NC and went to East Carolina University (Go Pirates!). She learned to cook by spending time in the kitchen with her parents, grandparents, and family members--all amazing southern cooks who rarely used recipes. She has been practicing as a physical therapist in the geriatric setting for the past 20 years. After working in TX, LA, and NY, she missed her home state and moved to Huntersville NC in 1998. Ginger is married with 3 daughters: Keely (12), Alaina (9), and Sadie (7). She enjoys reading, church activities, spending time with family, and watching her daughters dance. Favorite ingredient to use: Fresh herbs. Favorite savory recipe: Shrimp and Grits with Roasted Okra. Favorite dessert: Crème Brulee. Best "food" childhood memory: Grandma's Butter Beans. Hailey is a native Charlottean and is currently attending UNCC. Besides Flour Power and school, Hailey also works in her family's small business. She enjoys painting when she's not in the kitchen. Favorite ingredient to use: Garlic. Favorite savory recipe: Spicy Seafood Gumbo. Favorite dessert: Toffee Cookies. Best "food" childhood memory: Her Grandma's Potato Bacon Soup and Fried Cauliflower. Favorite TV chef: Julia Child. Best advice for new cooks: Don't be afraid to use your imagination! Some of my best dishes were made by throwing in a random ingredient that added the "umph"!

Kaylee grew up in Miami, FL--the "melting pot" of South FL. She moved to NC in February of 2014. Her family is from Cuba and Georgia and she comes from a long line of women on both sides of the family that loved to be in the kitchen! She developed a passion for cooking and baking from them. She also has a passion for helping others, and works in the social services filed when she is not at Flour Power. Kaylee is a bookworm, a DIY-er, Pinterest fanatic, and enjoys the NC outdoors. Favorite ingredient: Mojo--a marinade that is a must-use on any beef/poultry/pork. Favorite savory recipe: Baked Ziti--class and just perfect for the pasta and cheese lover. Favorite dessert: Pecan Pie or Cheesecake (just can't choose one!!). Best "food" childhood memory: Creamed Eggs Over Toast made by her grandmother. Best advice for new cooks: never loose your passion for cooking! Keep the basic technique and skills in mind, but don't be afraid to be adventurous and make your twists on a classic! Create a signature dish that you can be known for!

Lynsey is a native Charlottean! She loves to bake and spend time with her family. When not at Flour Power, she is an HR analyst for Duke Energy. She enjoys baking and making hand decorated sugar cookes and cupcakes. Yum!! Favorite ingredient to use: Vanilla bean paste. Favorite savory recipe: Chicken and Dumplings. Maddie lives in Huntersville and is a freshman in college. She is a die-hard Panther fan and attends every home game! Maddie also works at Dunkin Donuts, and loves working out and football! Matt grew up in Greensboro, NC. He has been a high school Spanish teacher for the past 16 years. Matt has a wide range of experience, having worked in banking, restaurant management, construction, and even truck driving! He enjoys cooking and practices Muay Thai boxing at Push Thai Boxing in Matthews. He is also known as quite the singer and songwriter for fun at Flour Power. Favorite ingredient to use: Flour (of course!) Favorite savory recipe: Focaccia bread. Favorite dessert: Apple Pie (and he makes a good one!) Best "food" childhood memory: Eating Cambodian food with his adoptive siblings from Cambodia. Favorite TV chef: The Swedish Chef from The Muppet Show. Best advice for new cooks: Measure! There's nothing wrong with following a recipe until you've made the dish a few times and you are ready to improvise.

Sarah grew up in New Jersey and came to the Carolinas to attend college. She graduated from Winthrop University with a BS in early childhood education in 2012. She has always loved to bake. When she was little, she didn't like to put things in the oven herself and would make someone else do it for her. Eventually, she started trying more meal recipes instead of just desserts. Now, one of her favorite things to do is to come home from school and make something interesting for dinner. Sarah is in her 5th year of teaching 3rd grade in Rock Hill, SC. She loves to dance, cook, sew, and make art. She took ballet classes most of her life, and enjoys designing fashion. Favorite ingredient to use: Butter. Favorite savory recipe: Roasted Corn Salad. Favorite dessert: Key Lime Pie. Best "food" childhood memory: Pasta--her mom is Italian and the family ate a lot of pasta! Favorite TV chef: Julia Child (even though she's not on TV anymore!)
