Owner/Operating Manager

Shannon is the Owner/Operator of Flour Power Nashville. She is a single mama who is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from Louisiana State University, she spent 5 years in Los Angeles before moving to Nashville to pursue her dream of becoming a recording artist. Her professional background is in the restaurant/bar business and party planning. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to hear live music, watching movies, and reading. She also LOVES having friends and family over for large home cooked meals, football watching parties as well as theme parties for her daughter, Stella Blue. Shannon hopes to expand her Franchise ownership by opening a second Flour Power in the Nashville area and eventually having a Flour Power mobile truck.

Michelle  Mock

Michelle was born in Seattle, but when her family moved to New Orleans, as one of many moves, she quickly fell in love and has ever since considered New Orleans her home. Growing up with over 20 first cousins and countless family members, she always loved being around the children most. Michelle has a passion for art, music and film which made it an easy choice to attend Florida State University and major in Art History. With over 30 years experience working in the restaurant and bar industry, Michelle has a solid background in service and culinary creativity. She enjoys cooking old family recipes as well as creating her own and finds cooking to be therapeutic. She loves to experience new restaurants around Nashville. Her greatest joy comes from spending time with her niece, Stella Blue, and being the coolest Aunt in all the land.

Raven is a Dean's List student in her last year at Belmont University, pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Child Psychology. She has chosen this career path because she adores children and wants to help them all grow into confident and secure adults. Flour Power gives her an opportunity to work with children of all ages and really interact and get to know them. In her spare time she loves playing with her little brother and sisters and spending time on the lake with family and friends.

Caroline Thacker

Carol is a student at Brentwood High School. She followed her older sister, Jamison, to Flour Power shortly after summer camps began. After graduating from high school, she plans to attend college and hopes to go somewhere in the Big Ten. We wouldn't be surprised if she follows Jamison to Purdue. Her aspirations include a career in writing. In the meantime, she enjoys working at Flour Power because "I am surrounded by an amazing staff who are constantly uplifting and helpful. The children bring so much energy to my days and I find myself learning something new everyday, whether it's about children, food or how to be a better teacher. I love being able to see the kids excited about cooking and pursuing their passion." In her spare time she runs cross country and just broke her all time best with a 14 minute 2 miles!! We are proud of her and love having her on staff.

Maggie Wehby

Born and raised in Tennessee, Maggie is one of five children. She is a recent graduate of Father Ryan High School and will be attending DePaul University, in Chicago, starting Fall of 2021. She will begin working towards a degree in Political Science! Coming from such a large family, as well as an even larger extended family, Maggie has spent a lot of time around children. Her love of children is one of the main reasons she chose to join our Flour Power team! We are very excited to welcome her to our team and we look forward to cooking and laughing with her!

Jadyn Sheats

Jadyn Sheats

Jadyn is a rising Senior at the University School of Nashville. She loves being around children because they constantly make her laugh and are very creative. While working at Flour Power, she hopes to find fun ways to connect with the kids, teach them lessons they are able to apply in their futures and develop some of the communication skills she will need for her career path towards Pediatric Medicine. In her spare time, Jadyn enjoys hanging out with family and friends, playing sports or listening to music.

Elena Overstreet

Elena is a student at Belmont University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Global Leadership Studies. She aspires to attend law school and work internationally. Elena has spent four years with a ministry outreach summer camp program in East Tennessee, working for 2 years as a counselor and most recently as a curriculum writer and editor. Flour Power provides her with an opportunity to continue working directly with children and getting to know them. She enjoys the hands on aspect and interacting with all the different personalities the children offer. In her spare time, Elena loves painting and practicing roller skating!

Jamison Thacker

Lead Instructor and Social Media Coordinator

Jamison is one of Flour Power's first employees! She started with us last summer, as an Instructor and is a rising Junior at Purdue University, studying Business Management and Marketing. Anytime Jamison has been home from school she has worked with us and that dedication has paid off. She is now our Social Media Coordinator and Lead Instructor. Originally from Orange County, California, Jamison was a Kids camp counselor at the Ladera Sports Center for 3 years and served as a student teacher for Kindergartners at Saddleback Church for 8 years. In addition to her love of teaching, is her love of cooking. It is no surprise she is a pro at Italian cuisine, considering her mothers large side of the family is Sicilian. Jamison's mom says she has always loved being in the kitchen and even made her breakfast in bed, at the age of 3!! Her skill set has improved considerably since her pre school years and we love having her at Flour Power.

Abby  Benson

Abby is a recent graduate from Belmont University with a degree in Theology. This fall she begins earning her graduate degree at Vanderbilt Divinity School. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Abby has been a resident of Nashville for the past 4 years. She not only enjoys cooking and baking, she enjoys children as well. As soon as she heard Flour Power had an opening, she knew she had to apply. (And we are SO happy she did!) Abby has 2 elementary age brothers so kids in the kitchen make her feel right at home and she is most looking forward to summer camps!! In her spare time, Abby loves listening to podcasts and reading theology books.

Morayo Kassim

Morayo Kassim is a rising Senior at the University School of Nashville and is super excited to be working at Flour Power this summer because she loves working with kids! Morayo has been babysitting/nannying for a couple years now. She also has volunteered at different events that involve kids, and is excited to continue working with children. Morayo is an avid runner and track competitor and in the future she would love to be a Director of Diversity at a company. We believe she will accomplish her goal!!!

Anna McElroy

Anna has been with Flour Power since last opening in May of 2020. Originally from Alabama, anna moved to Nashville to pursue her dream of singing. In her free time, Anna writes and performs her songs all over the country. She loves working with children because they make her laugh and you never know what will come out of their mouths!
